The $50K Tweet

Amanda Bonnen from Chicago was sued for $50,000 after twittering a criticism about Horizon Realty, a property management company she rented from. In her tweet, Bonnen, who is a former tenant of the company, said “Who said sleeping in a moldy apartment was bad for you? Horizon realty thinks it’s okay.”
Horizon Realty then asked Bonnen to remove the tweet before filing a lawsuit suing her for libel. Her username, @abonnen, is now defunct, hopefully that lawsuit gets deleted too.
