Sony announced a new online website, WordsMoveMe.com, for literature lovers to share their favorite passages with other bookworms, while simultaneously unveiling the electronic company’s new e-book reader, the Sony Reader Daily Edition.
While the 7-inch touch screen e-book unit provides users with access to Sony’s bookstore, the website works much like Twitter, wherein users type and post excerpts up to 255 characters long. Users can also include tags as well as a book’s title and author.
According to TechCrunch.com, “the problem is that right now it is a self-contained site. Facebook and Twitter integration are coming ‘in phase 2’.”
The Reader Daily will debut in December at a cost of $399, so don’t discard your library card just yet.
