Kevin Laue

Some tasks seem far-fetched and almost impossible, but that hasn’t stopped Kevin Laue of Pleasanton, California, a 6 ’11 center born without a left hand who’s preparing to play NCAA basketball for the Manhattan Jaspers this season.

Not only did the 19-year-old make the school’s Division I basketball team, Laue earned a four-year scholarship. Despite his physical disability, Laue can dribble, pass, block, score and rebound just as well as his two-handed peers.

The center will get his first chance to show every program who passed on him because of physical condition that he is a very talented athlete on November 14. The NCAA does not have any record of a one-handed player ever participating in a Division I basketball game, so it’s possible this is a first.

Good luck Kevin!
