This time around the lame is Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad for high-jacking Iran’s election this past week. With 80 percent of the populace coming out to vote the audacious Ahmadinejad claimed victory with 63 percent of the vote which many political experts internally and externally find extremely doubtful.

The results have led to rioting by supporters of presidential challenger and runner-up Mir Hossein Mousavi who has demanded for a recount and has called upon the free world for support. Protesters have been beaten up and locked up by the Iran’s Revolutionary Guard and cell phone as well as Internet services have been disrupted by the state as they try to quell the outrage.

The United Nation’s Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has since asked the country’s leadership to respect the will of the people and investigation the allegation of fraud. Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who initially gave the election his blessing – ultimately making the results final – has also called for an investigation, although I’m sure it’ll be much to do about nothing.

It’s plausible that if the election’s results stay as they are and Ahmadinejad’s nuclear ambitions stronger than ever, that an inevitable military conflict with Israel and/or the United States is upon us. What a mess!

It appears that the party that Karl Rove once envisioned having a permanent supremacy in American politics is finally imploding after a long fall from grace.

According to a Politico article today, “The Republican National Committee is riven by a dispute between Chairman Michael Steele and a faction of RNC establishment veterans that threatens to undermine Steele’s ability to put his stamp on the national party.”

Well, what can I say? When your party suffers at every level in the last elections, and you decide to counter the election of the first non-white person to the White House by taking former Digital Underground front man Shock G and making him the head of the RNC, then you are bound to be in a world of shit, my friends.

This ‘war’ within the Republican National Committee was described by a party insider privy to the inner turmoil as, ‘“One thing led to another and it spiraled out of control. These are the Jews and the Palestinians here.”

Wow, if the hostile factions between conservative assholes in the RNC are analogous to the decades old bad blood between the Jews and the Palestinians, then the inhabitants of the West Bank and the Gaza strip are really moving up in the world! Soon their think tanks will be designing pre-emptive war plans on their Arab neighbors so that the United States will never have to engage in that theater of combat again.
