Jigga Man To The Rescue….

Jay-Z has been announced as the replacement performance at the All Points West Festival in New Jersey. Subbing for the Beastie Boys, who withdrew from the festival due to Adam “MCA” Yauch’s cancer diagnosis, Jigga man will be taking the stage July 31. 

In addition, Coldplay, Tool, Vampire Weekend, Fleet Foxes, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Artic Monkeys and MGMT, who are rumored to be on The Blueprint 3, are also scheduled to perform at the three-day event in Liberty State park. Although Hova has blessed festivals in both London and Denmark, this will be his first major festival in the United States.

Beastie Boys’ MCA Diagnosed with Cancer – Upcoming Performances Cancelled

Adam Yauch of The Beastie Boys announced Monday that he has cancer and that the group will cancel all upcoming performances. In an online video on BeastieBoys.com, Yauch aka MCA talked about feeling a lump in his throat about two months ago. He plans for surgery and radiation treatment next week. The trio will also push back the release date of their upcoming album Hot Sauce Committee, Part One.
