State Trooper Chokes Out EMS Worker With Patient in Ambulance

Haven’t we seen this image time in and time out? White police officer, black man, the excess use of force and a general lack of common sense.

In this case Oklahoma State Trooper Daniel Martin got physical with paramedic Maurice White Jr. who was transporting a patient to an emergency room. Martin was upset that the ambulance driver did not yield to him as he sped to provide backup on a call and was further angered when he thought the driver flipped him an obscenity.

As the ambulance pulls over to the side of the road the trooper begins hollering at the driver of the ambulance he’s giving him a ticket for failing to yield encapsulating his anger by stating “I ain’t going to be putting up with that shit! You understand me?” to which White Jr. replies, “And I won’t put up with you talking to my driver like that.”

The situation escalates wherein troopers choke White Jr. in the ensuing scuffle. State trooper Martin has since been placed on paid leave pending an investigation.
