Mega-star Bruce Willis is back in the sci-fi film “Surrogates,” based on the limited five-issue comic book series written by Robert Venditti. Directed by Jonathan Mostow, the film takes place in a future where people confine themselves to the safety of their homes and live their lives through robotic surrogates, which are ideal mechanical representations of themselves.

Crime and fear are not supposed to exist but upon having its first murder in 15 years, this perfect utopia is thrown for a loop. FBI agent Greer, played by Willis, uncovers a conspiracy behind the robotic phenomenon; forcing him to abandon his own surrogate and physically step out into a world he hasn’t seen in years to solve the mystery.

Surrogates walk their way into theaters September 25.
