Case 39 is an intense horror film revolving around the psychological terror endured by 10-year-old Lillith Sullivan, played by Jodelle Ferland, and her parents who attempt to kill her in order to halt the paranormal terror.
The movie stars Renée Zellweger as the family services social worker Emily Jenkins. Emily saves Lillith’s life only to experience the same ghoulish evils that lurk everywhere and which have taken the lives of so many others in the young girl’s life.

Brothers is a drama directed by Jim Sheridan, starring Natalie Portman, Tobey Maguire and Jake Gyllenhaal about a decorated Marine who goes overseas and goes missing in action.
Meanwhile, at home his younger brother, played by Gyllenhaal, takes on the role of father and husband until his brother unexpectedly reappears with consequences that shake the entire family’s foundation.

Based on the novel “Push” penned by Sapphire, the upcoming movie Precious is a drama about an obese, illiterate teenage girl who is emotionally and physically abused by her tyrannical mother, played by Mo’Nique.
Starring Paula Patton, Mariah Carey, Lenny Kravitz and newcomer Gabourey Sidibe (Precious Jones), this flick does not sulk in the immobility of depression; instead, it focuses on the raw energy deriving from anger and hope.
Precious reveals her story through Daniels’ lenses with creativity, humor and intensity. Precious was the winner of the Dramatic Grand Jury and Audience Award at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival.
The movie, which is presented by Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry, will be in selected theatres on November 6.
The Fourth Kind is a provocative sci-fi thriller set in modern-day Nome, Alaska, where mysterious a disproportionate number of the population have reportedly gone missing every year since the 1960s.
Residents of the town have suspected alien encounters of the fourth kind – abductions. In the movie, psychologist Dr. Abigail Tyler, played by Milla Jovovich, videotapes sessions with traumatized patients and incidentally documents disturbing evidence of alien abductions.
The film integrates never-before-seen archival footage exposing the horrifying revelations of several witnesses. Their accounts of being visited by alien figures all share disturbingly identical details, the validity of which is investigated throughout the film.
In yet another apocalyptic movie, “Antichrist” revolves around a grieving mother, Charlotte Gainsbourg, who loses her young son in a freakish accident while she and her therapist husband, Willem Dafoe, have sex in another room.
Consigned to a hospital, Dafoe brings her on, retreating to their remote cabin in the “Eden” woods, hoping to cure her depression. However, they are confronted by something indescribable happened the prior summer.
Formatted like a book, Antichrist has four chapters, including a prologue and epilogue, detailing acts of lustful cruelty as man and woman unfold the darker sides of their nature.
Mega-star Bruce Willis is back in the sci-fi film “Surrogates,” based on the limited five-issue comic book series written by Robert Venditti. Directed by Jonathan Mostow, the film takes place in a future where people confine themselves to the safety of their homes and live their lives through robotic surrogates, which are ideal mechanical representations of themselves.
Crime and fear are not supposed to exist but upon having its first murder in 15 years, this perfect utopia is thrown for a loop. FBI agent Greer, played by Willis, uncovers a conspiracy behind the robotic phenomenon; forcing him to abandon his own surrogate and physically step out into a world he hasn’t seen in years to solve the mystery.
Surrogates walk their way into theaters September 25.
“Damn, that shit looks intense!” Yep, that was my first thought when I peeped Rob Zombie’s Halloween II.
Taking off where the last film left off, Michael is again in hot pursuit of his baby sister Laurie, who has just been taken to the hospital after supposedly killing the man responsible for several gruesome deaths in the town of Haddonfield. Slaying everyone in his path, Michael wont stop until his family is reunited. The cult phenomenon that is Michael Myers creeps back into theatres on August 28.
